Current Makeup Favourites

Happy Sunday and Happy Father’s Day! This weekend weather wise in London has been absolutely glorious so I thought I’d take some time away from the sun to share my recent beauty favourites with you all. I don’t often switch up my fave products, when I have a routine I like I tend to stick to it however in recent months I’ve introduced some newbies into my routine and they have quickly become my go to picks.

Firstly a new foundation – it’s been a while since a new foundation has entered my life, especially one that has become a staple in my everyday routine. The Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation with SPF 15 deserves all the raves it’s received in the beauty world and I picked this up in the shade Fair-Light-Netural. This is a great match for those fairer skin tones with yellow & pink undertones and is a lightweight foundation that packs a punch in the coverage department. What I love is the hydrating properties meaning if you are looking for a thin base or more fuller coverage finish, you know it won’t cling to any dry patches and will last well throughout the day.

To bronze up the base in these warmer months I’ve brought back my much loved YSL Les Sahariennes Bronzing Stones in 02. I simply adore this bronzer as it gives a natural yet flawless kiss of colour to the complexion. Silky in texture the powder/cream formula doesn’t disturb any makeup already applied yet leaves a healthy finish that doesn’t collect or sit powdery on the skin. I apply this to the outer contours of my face alongside the bridge of my nose and cheeks to mimic where the sun would naturally hit.

For eyes it’s all been about the Zoeva Nude Spectrum Eyeshadow Palette. Packed with 15 rich and gorgeous nude shades they are super pigmented and a breeze to blend out on the lid. These are the first shadows I’ve tried from Zoeva and I’m already hooked. You can create a multitude of looks for daytime and evening, I’ve even found that the more shimmery shades still last on the lid throughout the day too which is fab.

Last but by no means least is a lipstick favourite, wouldn’t be a makeup update without a new lipstick now would it?! ;) The Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in Sonic Truth is simply divine. That perfect everyday nude but with a hint of pinky purple to divert from those everyday natural browns. Formal wise this is rich, creamy with a hint of sheen. The buttery formula means this lipstick is forever at the bottom of my handbag and is a shade I apply throughout the day.

What are your current makeup favourites? Do you love any of the products I’ve mentioned today?
