For this Easter Bank Holiday it’s all about those simple and paired back makeup looks giving you more time on the clock to indulge in just one more piece of chocolate. Whether you’ve got plans with family, are catching up with friends or sitting out in the garden, reaching for a trusty one wash shadow gives you a finessed look without the time (or the faff!) I’m a lover of these multitasking shadows as just one shade can give dimension, shape and tone. Application takes mere moments and then you’re out the door in a flash.

You might have seen my last round of faves which you can read all about here after a few new additions snuck their way into my collection I thought it was time I updated you on my latest picks.

Dior – if you follow the Dubai girls aka Stacey, Laura & Laura you might have seen last year them rave about the same Dior shadow. The shade 658 Cosmopolite was the reason thanks to it’s golden brown shadow with warm undertones and a ever so slightly frosted sheen. Here you get a rich pigment paired with the depth of a smokey brown that looks like you’ve popped your fave highlighter on top. Once you start blending this shadow the true depth is exposed and you’re left with a multi-tonal finish all from a single shade.

Buxom – for a more everyday look you can’t go wrong with this shadow from Buxom. Part of a Sephora VIB perk the shade Mink Magnet is a metallic bronze that looks effortless when washed across the lid. Whilst out in Montreal and pretty much everyday since I reach for this easy to wear shadow that gives the perfect daytime smokey eye.

Illamasqua – when looking for depth, pigmentation and glitter all in one, look no further than Jubilance by Illamasqua. This has the largest glitter pieces out of the three however thanks to it’s strong pigmentation application remains a breeze and the glitter doesn’t translate into disco ball look either. Although this gives a softer finish to the lid as the brown tones don’t pack as much of a punch in comparison to the Dior shadow, it ticks all the boxes of what I look for from a one wash shadow.

What are you favourite multi-dimensional shadows?
