current makeup faves

It’s been a while since we’ve sat and talked favourites! In all honesty, my favourite products don’t often change as although I like to switch things up and give new items a try, if it works I’m not looking to fix it. Yes the beauty junkie within loves the excitement of a new makeup item within my eager grips, however on the flip side unless somethings broken, I’m not in a rush to change it.

The last time I really switched up my daily makeup essentials was back in November when I went to Montreal. Thanks to a Sephora at the end of the road and that ‘itch’ to try something new, I picked up a couple of pieces that I’ve quite simply fallen in love with. Since the day of purchase I’ve reached for them daily and figured it was about time I shared with you what they were!

Starting with a blusher that I spied whilst at Heathrow Terminal 5 World Duty Free. I found myself walking past the Burberry stand at least 5 times and although there wasn’t anything I needed I managed to spot my perfect blush shade. I’m talking peachy pink heaven that gives your cheeks that perfectly pinched flush of colour to boost a healthy looking complexion. The Light Glow Blush not only comes in some gorgeous packaging, the shade 06 Tangerine Blush is sheer perfection.

Next up came a bronzer and concealer, both from the brand Too Faced. I was already using their Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer in the shade Light Medium however thanks to those winter clouds overhead I resided to the fact it was simply too dark for my paler skin tone. As it’s lightweight yet full coverage finish was something I grabbed daily, I went and picked up the shade Light which is a perfect match. Alongside the concealer I was also in the market for a new bronzer, tired of the shades I already owned I heard good things about the Soleil Matte Bronzer so went ahead and snapped up the shade Milk Chocolate. It’s light colour makes application a breeze, warming up the complexion without leaving things muddy. Paired with my Too Faced Mr Right Perfect Powder Brush it really is the perfect match.

Finally, on a whim, I snapped up the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Marine Boosting Mist. Being a fan of hydrating mists and setting sprays this intrigued me. Promising to be a four-in-one primer that can be used to set makeup, hydrate or refresh I’ve being using this daily before and after applying makeup to keep everything looking fresh and dewy throughout the day. I’m already half way through the bottle I love it that much as it’s lightweight mist really does everything it says on the bottle. If you struggle with powder or find makeup can sit too heavy, I recommend picking this up as you won’t regret!

What are your current makeup favourites? Have you picked up anything new recently that you are loving?
