At times the beauty world can be a daunting place. The never-ending launches, new brands popping up each promising to be better and more groundbreaking than the last, where do you begin? As much as I love scouring the web for the latest and greatest, sometimes you just can beat somewhere that feels familiar. Where the aisles feels like a old friend too far? and you’re back in control. One of those places for me is the beauty hall in House of Fraser over on Oxford Street. What I love is you get that mix of luxury & highstreet, a spectrum in price meaning no matter your budget or need, there is something perfect for you. You really can’t fault their fab makeup picks!
Recently I’ve had my eye on a few new YSL launches. Their summer range always quickens my pulse and they never disappoint. Last year I snapped up the Le Teint Saharienne and now there is Saharannes Bronzing Stones*. Firstly just look at that embossed pan, have you seen anything more glorious in your life?! It’s almost too beautiful to use but I simply couldn’t wait before getting my brush in to try it out. Again, I picked this up in the shade 02 and I’ve honestly never used such a smooth or silky bronzer before. It’s like the product glides onto your skin to give radiant colour whilst feeling comfortable and lightweight. After first seeing this over on Stacy’s Snapchat I knew I wouldn’t be able to resist.
Now there is the Full Metal Shadow* in the shade 5 Steamy Coral. Rich and vibrant russet pigment is delivered from a single swipe of the 16 hour long lasting liquid formula. Here I initially applied the colour directly onto my finger before blending out across the lid. Pigmentation is strong but a light application can still be achieved giving a more daytime look. This copper bold isn’t a colour I usually rock however I can’t take my eyes off it. From the pan through to my lids it grabs your attention and looks super flattering
Have you tried out any of these YSL beauties? What are you favourite beauty shops to splurge in?
