I have a problem. It’s a matte liquid lipstick problem. I am quite literally obsessed. My obsession has been bubbling under the surface for a while, slowly getting stronger and increasing in demand and urgency. You see whilst I was out in the States I did my best to scour the land for the best matte liquid lipsticks, my only problem was the beauty obsessed gals out there beat me to it! The only way round the situation was to place a Sephora order. I know, who in their right mind places a Sephora order straight after a holiday especially when they already bought far too many lipsticks? The answer is me. Like I said – I’m obsessed.

We’ve got Kat Von D, Too Faced & Anastasia. Kat Von D I already know I’m a fan but thanks to the shelves showcasing a gap in the nude arena I simply had to find a reason to pick-up Bow n Arrow. In comparison to the other Kat Von D shades I own, this is still pretty cool toned however it doesn’t have that dark brown/plum element compared to Lolita. It’s more wearable for a daytime look, still has that great long-lasting coverage and doesn’t feel too drying on the lips.

Then I got another Too Faced Liquified Matte Long Wear Lipstick, this time in the shade in Cool Girl. Following on from my first purchase these have quickly become some of my fave liquid lipsticks. Easy to apply, comfortable to wear yet long lasting matte colour. Cool Girl serves up a similar finish to Bow n Arrow. Again, cool in tone however there is a hint more of a pinky/rose running through it which warms it up a tad. Wearable for day or night I love this versatile shade.

Now we have the Anastasia Liquid Lipsticks. Oh buddy have I fallen in love! The shades Dusty Rose and Crush were added to my cart as an attempt to get a bit pinker with my collection. Firstly we have Dusty Rose, an everyday purple perfection! I adore the warmer offering, find it’s a bold shade without being too in your face and is doesn’t dry down too dark. Then we have Crush. The liquid lipstick that got three compliments within my first hour at work. It’s nude, a hint of pink, that perfect matte colour that just works. Formula wise these are perfection, wet yes to apply but they dry down and stay put. Again I can hardly detect them on my lips and the colour lasts throughout the day. Someone tell me I need more?!

Have you tried out any of these matte liquid lipsticks? Anyone want to see a liquid lipstick collection video?!
