All hail the single ladies! I know today is geared up around you spoiling or being spoilt by that special someone but you don’t need a person to get through today. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for grabbing those that mean the world to me and giving them a big squeeze of love and affection but when it comes to the Big V I’m talking Valentine’s Day here people there is no need to get all grinch on the situation whether you have that special someone in your life or not.

Take my V Day for example, started with an early Psycle class whilst the sky was blue and the sun was shining and now I’ve just polished off a plate of baked eggs. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier unless maltesers were involved. For those are you that are celebrating, relaxing with loved ones or stabbing every fluffy toy you see today it’s okay we’ve all been there here is a little fussed free makeup look to get you through.

For a failsafe and lightweight base I throw on my much loved Dior Nude BB Cream with my hands. Giving me coverage, radiance and a boost of vitality I still love this stuff and am proud to call it my HG BB Cream. A touch of concealing is next thanks to the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Concealer paired with the Charlotte Tilbury Mini Miracle Eye Wand in 01 Fair. Again blended out with my fingers to keep the effortless look I then reached for my Soap & Glory Solar Powder to bronze up my complexion and add a hint of cheekbones.

Touch of blush thanks to the MaxFactor Creme Puff Blush in 15 Seductive Pink* and that’s the face done! Eye are kept super stripped back and I just went in with the Maybelline Push Up Drama Mascara which I’m loving for it’s fuss free yet super voluminous look. Obviously my Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector* went onto my lips and for a final touch of glow I popped the RMS Living Luminizer onto my cheek bones, down the bridge of my nose and on my cupids bow. Job. Done.

Excuse me whilst I go and ransack the cupboards to see what V Day treats I can find that aren’t chocolate. Who allowed Valentine’s Day to be the same time as Lent!?
