It’s no surprise that when poised with the question ‘what is your favourite makeup brand’ the answer usually includes the name Charlotte Tilbury. Ever since this makeup artist extraordinaire launched her very own range of rose gold packaged products, the beauty world bowed down in awe. From her initial collection through to every release since, CT is a force to be reckoned with. If you are new to the brand or are yet to dive into your first purchase I thought I would run through my top products, a little cheat sheet if you will of those hero gems you really need in your life ;)
Face – let’s get the obvious one over and done with, yes you need the Filmstar Bronze & Glow, what do you mean you don’t already have it?! Don’t be put off by that bronzed up colour and also don’t trust those completely off pictures over on the Selfridges website. Granted, this brings a beefy bronzed glow however with a light hand and a fluffy blending brush you’ll get instant cheekbones worthy of Victoria Secret model status. Over to the highlight side that golden shimmer is utterly gorgeous, more warm toned compared to most however it’s super flattering and complements a wide range of skin tones.
Not only can CT bring those cheekbones, her foundation is the bomb.com yes I went there. The Light Wonder Youth Boosting Perfect Skin Foundation with SPF 15 that I own in the shade 2 fair brings coverage matched with a lightweight finish. It’s seamless to apply, glides over any areas that are a tad dry yet leaves my complexion looking radiant with the right about of dew. Since picking it up I used it daily and it’s a perfect base for those Spring/Summer seasons.
Eyes – if you’ve seen any of the looks CT has shared on her social media channels or website, you’ll know her shadows are gorgeous. My personal favourite is the Colour-Coded Eyeshadow Palette in Dolce Vita. You have a mix of copper tones alongside a beautiful dark crease colour, up top is that perfect highlight shade and the quad is completed with a rich gold that adds that fleck of shimmer to your makeup. Permission to swoon.
One of Tilburys more recent launches was the Eyes to Mesmerise Cream Eye Shadow which I picked up in the shade Norma Jean. A sumptuous cream base, the smallest amount delivers rich pigmentation that last on the lid all day. Normal Jean is that typical MAC All That Glitters shade which works perfectly when paired with a darker smokey shadow or just worn alone for a daytime look.
Lips – finally my pick of the impressive range of lipsticks. With Matte Revolutions through to the K.I.S.S.I.N.G formulas, there really is a formula and a shade to suite everyone. Considering my love for all things berry, I had to pick the Matte Revolution Lipstick in Glastonberry as my fave. An intense and deeply rich berry shade, check out me wearing it here to see it in all it’s glory.
Let me know if there are any other brands you would like to know my favourite products from. What are your top products from the impressive Charlotte Tilbury lineup?
