Best of Skincare – 2015

2015 skincare favourites

It’s time to officially kick off the AGAABB best of week! I did the same at the start of 2015, dedicated an entire week to talk through the best beauty bits from the previous year. Bite sized categories ranging from hair & body through to lifestyle, I cover it all and to start us off in 2016 we have skincare. Over the space of 2015 my skin has well and truly changed from that once oily/combination type to it’s now new drier home. Nourishing products are where it’s at for me and you will see this reflected in my top picks from the past year.

Starting with the obvious – Oskia. No surprise here that the worlds favourite cleanser is making an appearance. The Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel was well and truly my cleanser of choice for 2015 and considering I’m three bottles down, it’s love. Alongside their cleanser I also picked up the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel in 2015. Again an absolute beaut this resurfacing mask keeps my skin plump and the texture feeling soft and smooth.

Dry skin wasn’t where it ended, last year I found the corners of my eyes would flare up after a night out or evening of wearing heavy eyeliner. Smehsexy aye ;) To instantly prevent that tight feeling the only product that provided relief was the Clinique All About Eyes Rich. My little sampler pot is almost out and this rich, nourishing cream can be applied across the lid, corner of the eyes and underneath to counteract those dry or tight areas. A must have buy for anyone who struggles with dryness around their eyes.

Not only did I boost my hydration levels with moisturisers, eye creams and masks, I went in with sprays. Two in particular were the standouts for the year, firstly the Kate Somerville Nourish Hydrating Firming Mist followed by the Herbivore Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water that I picked up towards the second half of the year. Both give that kick of hydration, can be spritzed before/after makeup, during your skincare routine or throughout the day. I find the Kate Somerville is more subtle where as Herbivore delivers on hydration and leaves your skin feeling more rejuvenated and nourished.
