The Edit: Daily Essentials

daily makeup essentials

Over the past four days I’ve worn makeup a grand total of once. Don’t get me wrong, I love a no makeup day to let my skin breathe whilst enjoying an extra 20 minutes in bed, however I’ve found since forgoing the slap during the move I’ll fallen out of my routine. When it came to popping on some cosmetic products yesterday I honestly sat slightly bewildered at my collection wondering what it was I did. Which were my favourites? What kind of look did I want to achieve? On days like these I resort back to my daily essentials, those fail safe products I naturally gravitate towards to give a fuss free look that takes mere minutes to apply.

For a moisturising yet colour inducing base it’s got to be the Origins VitaZing Moisturiser. A staple during those summer months I also reach for this when my skin has a bit of colour or when I’m going for a minimal makeup look. On those paired back product days it’s all about concealer to mask the imperfections without needing to go in with contour, blush, highlight etc. The duo of my Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless ConcealerShiseido Sheer Eye Zone Corrector ensures any areas of redness, dark circles or uneven skin tone are instantly banished. Brows are achieved in a single application with the Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel and thanks to the Soap & Glory Solar Powder I still have a bit of colour and shape throughout my face.

Finally, a slick of tinted lip balm from Clarins in the form of their Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector* and I’M good to go. Most of these products can be applied with your fingers or directly from the bullet, the only brush I opt for is this little Sephora Pro Airbrush Concealer Brush that effortlessly buffs everything away. Easy as 1..2..3 or A..B..C ;)
