Guys – I think I’ve had a breakthrough thanks to my Alex Drawers from IKEA. An actual organisational breakthrough that has revolutionised how I store and keep my beauty products. I know. Eureka much? Don’t fear this isn’t going to be another post all about how I plan to divide out each individual Alex drawer, oh no you see in this special post I show you how I actually did it! Brace yourselves people as you are in for one heck of a wild ride!
As much as I’m writing this with a sarky tone there is very much an honest truth running through each word. After getting the drawers labelled up and organised I can finally see, find and use each individual product in my stash. See, told ya this was revolutionising stuff. The biggest transformation comes from my draw full of minis. You see samples are amaze. Little bite sized cutely packaged minis that make packing for a trip a breeze. Where this mental picture doesn’t become oh so joyful is when all said minis live in one large basket therefore become actually impossible for you to root through and find. Welcome my new haven of minis.
Using the Muji Desk Organiser Storage Boxes I divided out all my minis into categories. Cleansers, moisturisers, oils, masks – you get the drift. Each section was artfully divided up and if that wasn’t enough, labeled! I finally branched out and snapped myself up a Dynamo label maker. Just a cheap one from Amazon that’s manual but it does the trick. Now I can clearly see where everything lives, I know exactly each product is and the best part? Going shopping in the draw just before a long weekend is the best way to kill and afternoon.
I’ve used this Muji boxes throughout the drawers to keep each section organised, divided and more importantly space efficient. Not only do I still have oodles of room remaining, I can finally see where everything is. No more makeup getting lost and forgotten about, finally I have a system that works and gives everything has it’s place. Switching between the wide, long or thin drawers from Muji, I’ve been able to label up and tidy each section keeping everything easy to find and see. My organisational heart is finally beating full and happy!
