When it comes to trying new skincare brands I’ve got to admit, I’m a pessimist. I start questioning the packaging, debating the ingredients, judging whether this ‘so called wonder product’ will actually just result in my skin becoming dry of even worse, breakout. I like the products I use and so does my skin, so why switch it up? The problem you see is when the beauty addict title gets attached to your name. Yes what I use might be fab but what if there is something better? What if my skin could be more radiant, feel more hydrated? Oh yes  FOMO of skincare is real people and because of that I’ve got a new brand to share with you.

Tatcha – you may have heard of this company from the likes of Jaclyn Hill or even Kim KW. Geisha inspired skincare from Japan that promises less is more when it comes to looking after your skin. Gentle, safe yet effective, that’s their motto. I’ve given their Ritual Discovery Kit* a go which comprises of their PURE One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil*, their POLISHED Classic Rice Enzyme Powder*, a RADIANT Deep Brightening Serum* and their SUPPLE Moisture Rich Silk Cream*. First impressions, this stuff smells good! It feels super luxurious and soft on the skin and leaves a sense of hydration whilst rebalancing any sensitive areas. The cleanser doesn’t sting the eyes but removes every last trace of makeup and the moisturiser feels super cooling when applied. Overall the range gets a thumbs up from me!

The heavy hitter in the purple glass bottle is the Dewy Skin Face Mist* aka the item that has got the beauty industry rumbling. Hailed as the glow behind Kim KW you’d expect good things from something that claims to leave your skin basking in a luminous glow. I gotta say this is like a spray highlighter for your face. Instantly any sallow areas are banished to leave a refreshed and glowing complexion behind. It’s expensive, but it’s good, and I love applying this under makeup to enhance that luminosity just a smidgen more.

Have you tried anything from Tatchia before? Are you a fan of Japanese skincare?
