Tom Ford Spiced Dupe

I knew, from the moment I laid my eyes on the Tom Ford Spiced Cream Colour at Duty Free, it was going to be love at first swatch. The fact that it was even in stock was a miracle, a discontinued limited edition find I did’t think twice before grabbing it out of the sales assistants hands and placing it my shopping basket. Boy am I glad that I did! Now it’s easy to assume I’m over egging this, come on it’s a pot of bronzey brown shadow how special can it actually be? Believe me I wondered the same myself however this is honestly the most unique shade of brown I own. Cheers Tom Ford for making it limited edition. Selfish.

In a bid to open this up to the masses I dived through my stash to see if anything would match. It was a struggle! You see this is a warm take on your average neutral shadow, with golden tones running through the colour payoff is more intense leaving a smokey look to the eye. Once blended it holds it’s own, often warranting it to be worn alone. There were two shadows that came close, NARS Fez and the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Liner in Bronze. Considering I can’t find Fez online I have a horrible feeling this too is limited edition however it can be found in the NARSissist Palette (the one that sits top row in the middle). Less golden in comparison it keeps things warm but needs multiple layers to build up the same depth.

For a drugstore whirl at this high end beauty it’s the Rimmel Liner – as you can see in the picture it’s too dark in comparison however if you have the patience to smoke this out and spend your day blending, this carries a similar richness with the same warm undertones.
