To kick off the week I thought I would round up some of the new beauty bits that I’ve been testing out over the past couple of weeks. Ranging from makeup to haircare it’s a mixed bunch that contain some gems but also a few items that aren’t worth their buck and should be skipped. It’s time for a new beauty roundup!

Thereapie Comfort Warming Body Rub* – whether you are back at the gym, training for a sports event or find yourself with a summertime cold, this decongestant rub with it’s cocktail of immunity-boosting essential oils will help you get back to a fighting fit state. The jumped up version of the traditional Vicks pot, this intoxicating chest and muscle rub it’s the perfect answer to those aches and pains you just wish would go away.

Studio 10 Plumping Blush Glow-Plexion* – introducing to you a makeup line created to perfect older skin. Not that I’d like to put myself into that age bracket just yet, I was intrigued by the claims of a natural looking glow whilst lacklustre complexions are given that pep boost. Containing a magical line filling ingredient it all sounds well and good however I couldn’t see anything that would justify the £24 price tag. Colour didn’t wow me, texture sat a tad sticky and overall is a pass in my books.

Nudestix Lip & Cheek Pencils* – I’ve gotta admit, I’m still on the fence when it comes to Nudestix. I’m not sure why, maybe their uber practical pencil approach doesn’t bode well for me when I’m a chubby stick, twist up pen kinda gal. Don’t get me wrong, formula wise Nudestix have it going as these Lip & Cheek Pencils are soft, buttery and super pigmented however it still doesn’t grab my attention. That being said, the shade Whisper looks like a Kylie Jenner lip wannabe if you ask me!

Macadamia Professional Weightless Moisture Conditioning Mist* – now this is where the rave train arrives at it’s station and settles in for the night as Macadamia have knocked it out of the park again. Part of the new professional range, this conditioning mist is made for us with fine hair. A leave in mist that can be used instead of a traditional condition, it keeps that volume and bounce in place whilst ensuring your are left with super sleek tresses for the day ahead. Not only that, it’s colour safe. Queue the hair angels.
