Want to know a funny story? Whilst away I honestly thought that I didn’t by many lip products. I know right, hilar. I remember standing in Sephora looking down at the Bite Beauty counter whilst thinking away to myself ‘I should get some lip products, I haven’t picked up many whilst away, maybe I should splurge on one’. As you can see I quickly addressed that imaginary problem and managed to end up coming home with a grand total of 6 – 7 if you include the Clinique Intensive Wear Lip balm. I’ve shown these briefly in a haul post or video but figured whats a lipstick without a swatch so here they are in all their glory!

Marc Jacobs Beauty – New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel in 108 Have We Met? – hands down this is my fav lippy of the bunch. Wearable, moisturising, the perfect everyday nude with a subtle hint of gloss. I am already tempted to order myself more oh yes you can from the Sephora site! as the gel formula really does make application effortless.

Dior Rouge Brilliant Lipgloss in 359 Miss – the only gloss of the bunch this is a gloss, but with a difference. The new Brilliant Lipgloss range from Dior give long lasting colour with a lip balm style finish. A blend of three lip care oils gives subtle shine thanks to an applicator that has been designed to dispense the perfect amount of product. Even those who dislike gloss will be swayed by this.

Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in 825 HD Hydrangea – my drugstore buy of the bunch this super bright and buttery offering from Revlon was hard to resist. From their new Ultra HD collection, expect colour that pack a punch, opaque coverage from a single application that feels weightless once applied. With a hint of vanilla and mango, you could even say it was good enough to eat ;)

Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Cream in Crush – Bite Beauty know how to bring it when it comes to lip products. Hand crafted to contain only natural and organic ingredients, each one contains Manuka honey to care for your lips whilst coating them in a gorgeous colour. Their Cashmere Lip Cream may look like a gloss but you’d be fooled, instead it’s’ a velvety matte finish with no shine but serious staying powder. It comes across a little dry in application however gives some incredible colour. Crush is a reddish coral finish that leaves me craving more.

MAC Lipstick in Darkside – of course I was going to pickup a bold purple whilst I was away ;) How could I not?! All these pinks and reds popping up I simply had to counteract it with one of my bold favs. After hearing good things about Darkside I snapped up this glossy take on a deep berry shade. With a tad more purple to the finish, the amplified creme formula gives that sheeny finish whilst still bringing the colour.

Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain in 01 Always Red – the final purchase which is simply because all the Kat Von D shades I wanted were out of stock I grabbed the infamous Sephora Cream Lip Stain. It really is as good as everyone says and for only $13 you really can’t complain. Intense colour, super long lasting application (I’m talking hard to remove kinda stuff) every red lippy lover needs to have this as part of their stash.
