Ah the bottomless brunch. That joyous combination of words that results in a whole lotta food paired with unlimited prosecco. Literally. Music to my ears! Over the past couple of months I’ve managed to go to three of these new weekend offerings, I know, addicted much?! What can I say, it’s just the perfect way to catchup with friends whilst indulging in my favourite meal of the day. Did I mention you get unlimited prosecco as well ;)
Last Sunday me and a few friends hot footed our way over to The Avenue at St James to celebrate a birthday the best way we know how, with bubbles. Situated just round the corner from Green Park and the Ritz, expect a grand setting full of flowing prosecco bottles and tables of happy diners chatting away.
At The Avenue you can pick between 2 or 3 courses and top up with the unlimited prosecco for £15. Obviously this is London so unlimited is limited to 2 hours from your booking, but that gives plenty of time to let the bubbles get to work! I opted for brunch and desert, giving in to my sweet tooth, my first course of avocado and streaky bacon was followed by hazelnut waffles with chocolate sauce, bananas and vanilla ice cream. Delicious.
Being my third bottomless brunch I feel like a seasoned professional. First trip was to the New Street Grill over in Liverpool Street which was one course but contained the most mouth watering dishes. Second up was The Botanist Broadgate Circle, again around Liverpool Street, and this was two courses of pretty huge portioned plates. I’d recommend New Market Grill for food, The Botanist if you want a fest and The Avenue to celebrate a special occasion.
Have you tried a bottomless brunch before? Where is your favourite place to spend an afternoon sipping on bubbles whilst surrounded by great company and scrumptious food?
