holiday checklist

Don’t you just love it when someone else is going on holiday and it’s all they talk about and you just want to give them that look of ‘shut up no one cares but you’. Soz. Apart from repeating the fact it is now less than a week before I jet away, I noticed whilst planning and packing that I came across a little checklist that I stick to every time I go away. Whether it’s some helpful reminders, to do items to prevent a holiday fail or just to ensure you’ve got everything you need, here are my tips and tricks in a holiday checklist for when you next set off for the sunshine. Enjoy :)

  • Pack buckets of spf. One for two your body (a 50 and a 30), one for your face and one for your lips. A golden tan isn’t worth the sun damage
  • Also, a darn good after sun you know you can rely on. Hello British skin that does nothing but burn
  • Minis are your best friend. Stock up and dive in
  • Book a shellac. It means you won’t have to worry about your nails once during the trip
  • Another pampering appointment I get in the diary is to have my brows threaded and tinted a week before I jet off
  • Try and be realistic with what you are packing (if you haven’t worn it in 2 months, chances are you wont on holiday)
  • Have an idea of what you want to do each day whilst away. Even a rough plan helps you to make the most of everyday and means you don’t miss anything off your wish list
  • Make sure your shoes are worn in (no one wants blisters in the sunshine)
  • Wear the most comfortable thing you own on the flight
  • Call your banks ahead of your trip to worn them you will be using your card abroad
  • Get your cash before you fly, airport exchanges rates are no ones friend
  • Pack a hair mask. With the sunshine, pool and sea your tresses will be thanking you for a hint of much needed moisture
  • Bring a couple of loose jumpers for when it gets cool in the evening. If if the temperature is still high you will feel cooler being out of the sun
  • A mini medical pack will be your saviour if a headache strikes
  • Mosquito repellent. Need I say more?
  • Decant. Decant. Decant
