The Edit: Spring Flush

Everyone has that one vice when it comes to makeup, whether lipstick is your weak point, you are unable to ignore the highlighter section or you have enough foundations to keep your faced covered for years to come, I’m starting to realise that one of my loves is blusher. Although I may not have the most expansive collection, my face doesn’t look right without a little flush of colour to the apples of my cheeks. The blushes that I do own are well loved (I talking multiple hit pans here) and no matter the season you won’t find me without a kiss of colour to the cheeks.

I’m going to get the obvious pick out the way. Yes, I’m still obsessed with my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush and yes I will talk about it until I’m blue in the face. What can I say, it really is blush perfection and no matter the season or the occasion this looks a beaut. A radiance inducing finish that gives life and a soft pink colour to your complexion. A light dusting is all your need to bring your makeup to life. Looking for a more budget friend option? Give the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in 15 Seductive Pink* a whirl. With the same illuminating properties this delivers the results whilst being a fraction of the price.

On those days when a hint of glitter is required, I reach for the Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher in 34 Rose D’Or. Giving a more traditional pink toned flush to the cheeks, a little goes a long way here to give that fresh Spring look. Looking towards the warmer weather thoughts turn towards those cream based products that get shunned during the Winter months. A longstanding favourite in the form of Stila’s Convertible Colour in Lilium, this really is a classic. With it’s coral undertones and bendable formula, this is the only cream blush in my collection as nothing comes close.
