I have fallen in love with a new restaurant, one that serves the best Chinese and Sushi food I’ve ever encountered (no joke) and that boasts a luxurious yet chic decor all behind a mouth watering menu. The venue in question is called Chai Wu and can be found nestled away on the fifth floor of Harrods. I was lucky enough to be invited there for an event recently where we indulged in a array of treats and a wide selection of dishes that were simply scrumptious.

Starting with the restaurant itself this is a new addition to the Knightsbridge megga store. Residing up towards the top of the building you will find this hidden on the other side of shoe heaven, past where the mens and sports section is. Once inside you are presented with grand tables and an open kitchen filled with chefs bustling away preparing some intricate sushi roles and flaming up the grill for everyones favourite, wagyu beef.

Glancing at the taster menu alone caused my taste buds to drool, the sheer description of the dishes was enough, I knew I was going to be in for a good evening! Like a kid in a chocolate factory my eyes lit up over sashimi decorated across a bed of dry ice, flavoursome salmon and avocado maki roles, grilled crab legs and even a lobster dumpling topped with beluga caviar (oh my!) After the round of sushi the food didn’t stop there, next up was sweet and sour chicken in a papaya aka my fav dish of the night with some of the most incredible wagyu beef I’ve ever had. To complete the food extravaganza was a chocolate bomb and a green tea chocolate moose.

Whether it’s to try out the taster menu for your self or to simply rest tired feet from shopping, make sure you book in to this culinary delight.
