Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that all my makeup looks are starting to blend together and turn out pretty similar? ;) I would say it’s down to me being a creature of habit but instead you are witnessing me embracing a more streamlined makeup look. It’s a groundbreaking moment people! Gone are the days where a full coverage foundation were set with a powder foundation – the caking was real back then but thankfully I’ve learnt my lesson. Now in my slightly older age I prefer to let my skin breathe, finally embracing the makeup that simply enhances. Sounds fancy but really it just boils down to me slapping slightly less product on my face although it still manages to look like a lot.

Noticing my skin was looking a tad pale and more dull than normal I’ve been reaching for the Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser*. Although lightweight in texture and finish, it does a great job at giving colour and coverage to the skin. The Maybelline Dream Touch Lumi Concealer in 02 Nude also made an appearance to counteract those bags and help cheat the amount of sleep I actually got. To add some extra warmth to my complexion I embraced the contour and bronze duo, bronzing up the skin with the  Soap & Glory’s Solar Powder and defining those cheek bones thanks to the Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit.

Cheeks didn’t end there, oh no I managed to add a blush trio any excuse to crack open the Hourglass Ambient Blush Palette, MSF and highlighter stick all on the same face. Luckily they weren’t applied to one area causing makeup overload, but I find pairing the three together gives me that highlighted look in all the right places. Over to eyes I kept with the neutrals from the Smashbox Full Exposure Eye Shadow Palette* and got back to liner with my much loved Paul & Joe Liquid Liner*. That extra definition gives more shape to my eyes without closing them up, keeping the inner corner highlighted and the brows natural meant my lids looked more open and awake.

For lips it was a quick swipe of the Lipstick Queen Chinatown Glossy Pencil in Chase that is a perfect hybrid between a bold and natural lip. Combining a sheer gloss with a chunky pencil and pigmented colour, it’s a breeze to apply yet leaves a great kiss of colour to the lips. Brining the natural makeup together without looking OTT, it’s my new fav Springtime lip. You will also spy a Beautyblender in there, jump I’ve fallen back in love with its seamless makeup application and flawless finish – seriously good stuff.
