Although the sun has taken a temporary hiding place behind the clouds, it is March and with this calender change comes a new season, Spring. The weekend was glorious and now all I can think about is warm evenings, light nights and that feeling of the sun heating up your body. Bliss! To mark the new season it’s time to break open the makeup and switch up my daily picks to suit the warmer weather, this call for a bit more colour on those cheeks and lips! Hold on tight as it’s time for the Spring Makeup Series.

My Spring base of choice (verging on my fav foundation of them all) is the Chanel Vitalumiére Aqua. I flit between B20 and B30 and years later I still adore it’s lightweight and natural finish. Paired with the Clinique Airbrush Concealer* this gives a flawless yet dewy base that lets my skin breathe throughout the day. A light contour was buffed into the hollows of my cheeks with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette and I opted for the only cream blush I like, Stila’s Convertible Colour in Lilium. Giving a gorgeous hue to the cheeks that not only looks flattering, it doesn’t lift away your base when applied.

Lids were kept pretty simple, just a wash of the Kiko Long Lasting Eyeshadow in 228 Taupe across the lid gave my eyes a hint of definition without being overpowering. Followed by lashings of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Multiplying Mascara this kept my lashes a flutter whilst packing them full of volume. One of these days I will get back into the winged liner look ;) Quick and easy brows were achieved thanks to the Benefit’s Gimmie Brow and I couldn’t resist a spot of highlighting with the golden hues of Benefit Whats Up. Finally – lips. A Springtime favourite from Dior their DiorAdict Fluid Lipstick in 269 Tiny Pink is that perfect lipstick/gloss hybrid that gives subtle shine whilst coating the lips in a gorgeous pink shade.
