Oer what’s this I spy? Another category has been added to the mix you say? I present to you the brand spanking new Winter Makeup Series! Three posts coming to you fresh each week featuring a different look that I like to wear during these cold and dreary months. Following on from the festive makeup posts I put together before Christmas I thought I would continue with some seasonal appropriate picks and do four mini series throughout the year. This not only encourages me to switch up my daily makeup stash, it’s also is a great way of showcasing products I’m loving and how they look on my old mug lucky you ;)

The onset of Winter results in my skin reverting from it’s normal combination type. Dry patches appear thus meaning I have to be more careful with my primer and foundation picks, anything to prevent my skin from drinking it up throughout the day! Keen to keep things looking fresh I’ve opted for my new Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer that gives a sheeny and luminous finish to my skin. Paired with the L’Oreal True Match Foundation and Louise Young Super Foundation Brush my base lasts throughout the day whilst leaving my complexion to shine through.

Considering last year I ‘found’ eyeliner here I’ve forgone my usual liquid eye look. Opting for a fresher finish that helps to make my eyes look bigger and more open I popped down the pen and instead kept things simple with a single shadow blended out across the lid. No surprise it’s the NARS Dual Intensity Eyeshadow in Himalia however the switch up comes in the form of Urban Decays 24/7 Eyeliner in Pervision. A tiny amount blended in the outer corner of the tightline helps to keep that defined finish. To complete the look I added a pop of colour to the cheeks, highlight to amp up the glow finished with a kiss of colour on my lips thanks to MAC Cremesheen in Peach Blossom. It’s as though Spring is calling ;)
