December Favourites

december favourites

Before delving into the 2014 favourites (which will be coming to you in a week long feature starting Monday!) it’s time to quickly round up the best of the bunch from December. Aside from Christmas parties, present hunting and festive sock wearing I managed to pick up a few new beauty finds alongside and old favourite that I rediscovered. From caring for my tresses to awakening my tired eyes it’s a rounded selection that saw out a beautytastic year.

Hourglass Ambient Blush Palette – Hourglass and my cheeks are quickly becoming a strong duo act akin to the great classics such as salt and vinegar or fish and chips lolz. Kidding aside from blushers to powders this brand just knows how to do finely milled cheek products that blend a dream to leave a gorgeous and effortless glow to your complexion. Three crafted shades bring light to your cheeks whilst being housed in a divine gold palette, there really is no denying this is blush perfection.

Ojon Rare Blend Moisture Rich Cleansing Conditioner* – In the past month two new hair treatments have entered my shower and transformed my tresses. First up is this from Ojon, I’ve tried a handful of products from this brand in the past but found them to be too heavy for my fine locks. This however is a lightweight conditioner that really clarifies my hair whilst leaving it super smooth.

Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Eraser Eye – I bypassed this drugstore gem thanks to less than appealing packaging, finally though I put my judgemental mind to the side and took the plunge. When you are going for that highlighted look or need some serious help to mask a lack of sleep this does the trick. Slightly thicker in formula this blends in to give a flawless and awaken look.

Garnier Miracle Skin Cream* – An old beauty love this has been rediscovered in December and although the Winter weather would suggest my base of choice would be a slightly heavier coverage foundation, I’ve been sticking to the moisturising and light bases to let my skin breathe. It’s made the world of difference and this gives a light hint of coverage whilst leaving your skin looking radiant.

KeraStraight Protein Mask*  The second haircare saviour this fortifying and repairing mask treats and cares for stressed and damaged locks. Dry and wiry ends have been replaced with sleek and smooth strands that restrain their normal midday frizz. Improved elasticity, reduced breakages and healthy condition – all my other masks have been banished for the protein!
