Time for the festive chatter to continue – considering it’s just over a week till the big day I can’t see it subsiding any time soon ;) This week has been all about clearing out the old rubbish stored around the house and making room for the Christmas decorations. Saturday was dedicated to  putting up the tree. With Elf on in the background and a festive candle burning, I expertly popped the baubles on the tree whilst trying to resist devouring another piece of chocolate log that was sitting in the kitchen. Today is the day for truffle making! Home made sweet delicious treats I would rather not divulge how much of the mixture I had to taste to ensure everything was okay.

When it comes to the big tree, traditionally the decorations revolve around a pink or purple theme. This year we’ve gone bold and switched things up with a for red and silver tree, I know, shocker! We have the annual poinsettia sitting pride of place in the hallway and I’m making my way through my Christmas film stash. My favs are Elf, Arthur Christmas, Love Actually, Miracle of 34th Street and White Christmas. Watched every year without fail they help get me into the festive spirit and never fail to put a smile on my face.

I have two more Christmas parties lined up, three including the big work one and with only 11 sleeps to go I might just have to start wearing my Rudolph onesie to bed ;) My 25 days of Christmas socks are going strong and just to bring smiles to the office this week I have promised to don a festive jumper every single day – not that I’m complaining! Let’s just say Santa, I’m ready for ya!
