The final festive instalment of the Party Makeup Series is here *sobs* Six looks in total ranging from glitter to drugstore with a bypass through hair, it’s been fun putting together all these looks and I hope you’ve enjoyed them :) For the last instalment it’s all about New Years Eve, the night where it’s mandatory to wear those limited edition goodies stashed away in your makeup collection saved for a special occasion. No matter my plans, when this night rolls into town I love to sit down at my desk, pop on my favourite tunes from the past year and create an overly dramatic look with bold eyes and bold lips. The perfect excuse to go all out!

This year I’m heading to a friends house for a cozy and delicious dinner party to see in the New Year. Although I may not be strutting my stuff on a light up dance floor, the makeup will be just as bold and over the top as it always is – what can I say it’s tradition ;) As New Years Eve also marks the day of my Dad’s birthday (happy bday Dad!) this is more of a makeup prep post, the final look will be up on Instagram if everything goes to plan!

When searching for ideas I fell in love with the above golden Instagram picture over on the talented @iheartmakeupart page. Not only does she have some incredible skills, look at that liner tutorial to achieve perfect cat eye…runs off to memorise. To recreate her look and bring the glitter to life I treated myself to the Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Midnight Cowboy. Pigmented flecks that last all night this cries out for a NYE makeup look. Paired with the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in Perversion it keeps the tight line super dark and smokey yet doesn’t smudge away.

To bring the va va voom I’ve got my Charlotte Tilbury Colour-Coded Eyeshadow Palette in Dolce Vita and Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen *cough* thank you Santa *cough*. Face will be kept pretty neutral as for lips it’s time to bring out the shock purples! Going dark and vampy it’s a toss up between the limited edition Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminiour Matte Lip Colour in 307 L’Impatient or MAC’s Diva. Both bring the sultry goodness however no doubt will be paired with my Christmas pudding pjs before the clock strikes 12.

Hope you all have a fantastic New Year and see you in 2015!
