After the flurry of Christmas Gift Guides last week it’s time to get back into the party mode and amp up the makeup chat. I’ve popped together a look brimming with fab products from the aisles of the highstreet – drugstore beauties galore you can snap these up thanks to the current 3 for 2 offer running in Boots. The perfect excuse to stockup on makeup and splurge on a bevy of beauties ;) Whether you have a dinner in the diary, party in the office or even for a family gathering, this makeup look will suit all occasions. Keeping the eye nude softens the look as the bold lip gives that pop of colour for the party season.

For shadow I stuck with Rimmel. A quad that brings pigmentation, buttery formulas and a foolproof four step routine for a smokey eye, the Glam Eyes Quad has all your bases covered. Smokey Brown is a neutral lovers paradise and contains a highlight shade, lid colour, crease definer and dark brown that doubles up as liner. For £6.99 the shadows avoid that chalky disposition and last well on the lid throughout the day. To really make the eyes pop I added lashings of the Max Factor Masterpiece Transform Mascara that coats every lash to give them that wow factor.

Although it’s Christmas you still gotta hold onto that bronzer, Soap & Glory’s Solar Powder contains two shades that can be used individually or mixed together. Swept through the hollows of the cheeks to contour or the high-points of the face to warm up the complexion, this is one of the most versatile bronzers I’ve used. Last but by no means least – the lips. Maybeline Color Drama Lipstick in Berry Much is a beaut and I wear it daily oh yes even at 8am in the morning! It gives a kick of colour that lasts on the lips whilst retaining a slight sheen. Although the pencil requires a sharpen (boo hiss) application is simples thanks to the moisturising finish and texture. Drugstore party look is a go!
