Ah the joyous Christmas Eve – since my family have been spending the holidays at home we have created quite the tradition for the day before Santa pops down the chimney. We get dolled up, put on our finest outfits and head out for a big delicious meal to celebrate the start of Christmas. Tomorrow will be a more relaxed affair as I spend the majority of the day in my pjs with minimal makeup and a big cozy robe on. As the big lunch is at home the focus revolves around comfort so instead we get dressed up in our finest for Christmas Eve.

Today I’ve decided to keep things quite light on the eye as it’s going to be all about the bold lip, although we are going out for lunch I can’t not pop on a red lippy in honour of the festive season! To keep things bright it’s got to be the Color Riche Collection Exclusive Pure Reds in Julianne’s Pure Red I adore this shade and for a drugstore lipstick it knows how to stick around. For a festive shadow I opted for my much loved Marc Jacobs Lolita 206 Beauty Plush Shadow Palette, it has the glitters, the highlight option and a few darker shades to smoke out the crease.

Liner was skipped today but lashes were given the volumising treatment from my L’Oreal Mega Volume Collagene Mascara who needs falsies when you’ve got this in your makeup collection! Back to base and this taken care of by the Becca Skin Perfector in Moonstone which I paired with Illamasqua’s Skin Base Foundation in No 7. This gives an illuminated look to your makeup that doesn’t flash back when it comes to photo time. Finally, it has to be my Hourglass Ambient Blush Palette. Utter perfection I used a mixture of all three shades to give a dimensional look to my cheeks that glistened in the sunlight.

Hope you all have a fantastic Christmas Eve <3
