berry lipsticks

I am hooked on the berrys. Not just those sweet little fruits that are best eaten atop a pile of fluffy warm pancakes, I’m talking about those deep wine coloured lipsticks that give an intense hit of colour to your lips and transforms your complexion on a drab and dreary day. As you can see I have quite the collection going that ranges from stains, to balms through to matte formulas that stick around all day. Even for work I opt for these purple hues to bring colour to my face that the lack of sun so cruelly takes away.

For a Wash of Colour – Fresh Sugar Berry Tinted Lip Treatment & Tarte LipSurgency Lip Tint in Moody

From Fresh you have a hydrating treatment that no only nourishes dry and chapped lips, it also imparts a gorgeous soft berry shade onto your lips. An ease to apply you don’t need any liners or prep work just glide this on and your good to go. In comparison the Tarte tint appears as more of a light stain once applied. Again, bursting with hydrating properties this is a deeper wine shade that gives a subtle kiss of colour.

Everyday Essentials – Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in 09 Roundest Raspberry & MAC Plumful

For those days when I’m looking to amp up the intensity levels, these are my two hero picks. Super wearable yet packing that extra pinch of colour, out of all the vampier lipsticks I own right here are my utmost favourites. Clinique’s Roundest Raspberry is a wearable purple shade with less red and more blue undertones. It get’s worn day & night and as you can see from the packaging it is very well love. MAC’s Plumful is an everyday pinky/purple, light in payoff this contain less darker tones yet still gives a lovely to colour to the lips that has been going strong for a number of seasons.

Power Player – Buxom Full Bodied Lipstick in Menace

When you want to go bold there is no going back with this Buxom beauty. A matte finish combined with long lasting with pigmentation, it packs some serious punch. A more traditional wine shade this is the darkest one I own that gives vamped up lips from a distance. Without liner it still lasts the distance and it’s never bled on the lips, even whilst out for dinner. The miniature bullet makes it perfect to pop in your handbag for touchups and you don’t need to worry about any making a sneaky transfer onto your lips.
