A Nars Haul

After starting the week off with a budget beauty haul, five days later I bring you some more swoon worthy goodies however this time with a slightly different price tag. Oh yes, I went to a NARS counter. Dangerous stuff especially on a Sunday when you are giddy and full after indulging in a stack of scrumptious pancakes. I already had one item in mind as I made my journey to Oxford Street, the Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base. After falling head over heals with the mini size it was only a matter of time before I upped the anti and purchased the big one. This is an essential for oily lid gals or those who opt for shadow everyday, a small amount prevents any creasing and helps your precise eyeshadow application look neat and stay in place throughout the day.

The second purchase…whoops. Who can resist this Dual Intensity Eyeshadow in Himalia, it’s one beaut of a shadow and part of the new range of wet or dry finishes. When applied dry this gives a soft wash of colour that can be blended out across the lid or concentrated in the crease.  As an everyday shade this gives dimension, even when worn alone, and can be easily blended out with a brush or your finger. The magic however comes alive when you team the shadow with a dab of water, it becomes electric. Golden brown hues awaken and you are left with an intense hit of colour. Pricey for a single eyeshadow yes but oh so beautiful and unlike anything I already own. It’s official, I bow down to the alter of NARS.
