Surrounding the launch of Nudestix there was a lot of hype regarding these illusive new pencils that were hitting the beauty market, simple in concept a collection of pencils were released under the tag line go nude but butter. Enabling you to achieve all your makeup looks with one quick and easy to apply swipe, this range is focused on helping you to create those barely there makeup looks that models manage to attain so effortlessly. Although these pencils have been met with mixed reviews this is my take on whether they will be replacing any items within my makeup stash and how they can transform a day look into a more smokey evening ready finish.

Skin Concealer* – Although in pencil form, this concealer is soft, pigmented and doesn’t drag at the skin when applied. In the shade Light 2 this helps to give life to the darkness that settles  under my eyes and helps to fake a few more hours of sleep. To take the look from day to night I applied the concealer Kim K style on top of foundation, it didn’t sit heavy or look cakey yet refreshed my makeup. This will becoming a handbag essential!

Lip & Cheek Pencil* – When it comes to lip and cheek duos I instantly become dubious, I want very different things from my  lipsticks compared to my cheek products so whether one item can tick both boxes, it’s yet to be seen! The shade Love from Nudestix is a very soft pinky shade that does look pretty on the lips, however I found it accentuates any dry patches I might have. Applied to the cheek blending is easy however it left my skin slightly tacky after application.

Eye Pencil* – Already a fan of eye pencils I was expecting great things from the Nudestix offerings, buttery in formula, pigmented in application you really can’t go wrong. Although I would like a twist up top, the pencils come with a handy sharpener so you will never be left blunt. Stardust is a pale pink shimmer shade that works great all over the lid or as a highlight. It can be blended with a finger or brush to make on the go application a breeze.

Magnetic Eye Colour Pencil* – To vamp up a look and make it ready for the evening turn to the Magnetic Eye Colour with my fav being Twilight. Long-wearing, intense colour that is perfect for those with oily lids, this bronzed up shadow works great when blended out along the crease. With definition and shadow all wrapped up in one I can see this quickly becoming a staple when getting ready for work.

Have you tried out any of the Nudestix offerings yet? Does anything catch your eye?
