I Caved…

It was only a matter of time before this post was going to pop up and make an appearance, the super hyped and tear wateringly expensive ByTerry Ombré Blackstar. It was a moment of weakness, delusion and disarray washed over me and before I knew it there I was handing over my money and Space NK points card to the sale assistant as she processed my transition. In my defence, I am proud I only left with one. Five were swatched on my hand and three were put to the side for me to ponder further, the only thing that stopped me, the thought of spending £84 on just three shadow products – even I can’t justify that!

Facts aside yes, you are spending £28 for just 1.2g of product. Yes there are many a fab dupes out there for a fraction of the price, but, do they really compare? Not when you manage to get one in your hands and witness the true beauty of the colours they contain. The error in my trip was the swatching, seeing the colour glide onto my hand and glimmer in the sunlight was just too much for any sane person to resist ;) Next up was the colours, with Bronze Moon, Blond Opal and Mistry Rock vying for my attention I started to feel a little hot under the collar. Three was just impossible so which one won my heart?

Welcome Blond Opal to the family :) This pop of champagne white sparkle gives an incredible illumination to the eye when applied in the inner corner and under the brow bone. You can wash out the colour with a brush or leave an intense pigmentation depending on the look. With long-lasting staying power, velvet soft formulas and packing to make anyone swoon, you can see why these have become such a hit. Now I just need to restrain myself from entering a Space NK again otherwise I have a feeling another one is going to make it’s way home with me too!
