August Favourites

september favourites

Oh lordy when on earth did September roll into town?! It feels like only yesterday I was opening my Filofax (oh yes, I have one :P) at the beginning of the year, looking through all the blank pages of the months ahead wondering what they would end up being filled with. Now when I look at it the divider is almost at the bottom of the diary signalling the end of the year is in sight. As soon as September rolls into town it’s almost like a fast track to Christmas. With a holiday booked in September and my birthday in October, I know the months are just going to fly by. One thing that will remain constant – my love for beauty! Let’s get on with the favourites ;)

Antipodes Reincarnation Pure Facial Exfoliator* – back when I lived in Bournemouth I religiously use this mask twice a week, ah the joys of having more time in the day ;) Since it fell out of my routine I’ve noticed a difference in my skin, the radiance has dispersed and the texture  has resorted back to that of a teenager. What I love about this mask is that it is super lightweight and helps to keep my complexion in tip top shape, since reintroducing it I have noticed a vast improvement, now I just need to pick up a new one ;)

Tarte Amazonian Colored Clay Concealer in Light* – oh baby does this concealer pack a punch. With breakouts and red bumps donning my skin this concealer has been a saviour. A thicker consistency this can be warmed up between your fingers to make application smooth and easy. It covers pretty much anything and doesn’t cake on your face throughout the day. Also, hello handy mirror and setting power included in the pot – I love you.

Smashbox Camera BB Cream Eyes in Fair* – always worrying over the state of the bags under eyes a must have product for me is a concealer that can counteract the sleep deprivation whilst bringing light to my eyes. This does just the trick and I use it everyday without fail. It covers the darkness but, the light it gives to my skin is the best part. All that in a nifty twist up pen formula it’s one of my favourite products I’ve tried from the Smashbox brand.

Naked Basics Palette* – I hold up my hands and admit defeat with this gorgeous mini neutrals palette. Convinced I didn’t need it in my life I now don’t know what I would have done without it. With a big mirror housed inside the compact and six super wearable shades, this has become an everyday essential. The matte formulas are super buttery and the pigmentation is packed in every shade, now the debate is over whether to get the new one they have released ;)

Eyeko Visual Eyes Liquid Eyeliner* – second month running that a liquid liner has featured in my monthly favourites? Whatever next ;) This Eyeko offering may not quite live up to my HG Paul & Joe liner but it does give it a good run for it’s money. The super fine and flexible nib means you can create a neat line that is close to your lashes, I still fumble whenever it comes to the cat eye flick but for precision and ease of use, this gets a thumbs up from me.
