I have a confession, it’s not that much of a secret and I’m sure everyone feels the same way, but I just want to make it clear once and for all, I love sales. Now I’m not talking about those overwhelming sales that you get in the Summertime or Boxing Day where you walk into a store only to be met with a sea of clothes strewn across the racks and floor. Witnessing these sights make me want to run out immediately in the opposite direction, nightmare! The sales that I’m referencing are those that occur in the more expensive highstreet brands. Maybe it’s their air of expensive taste but whatever it is, they just manage to do sales oh so well ;) Naturally we would all love to be able to afford the likes of Whistles and COS on a daily basis but sadly the majority of our wallets don’t stretch that far. This is where their impressive 50% (and sometimes 70%) bargain bonanzas come in and they result in my purse weeping and me grinning from ear to ear.
Last week this happened, it was unexpected and those purchases are usually the best. First up on the shopping damage list was this orange skirt from COS. It’s bright, it’s swing cut and it has pockets, do you need anything else? Oh yes it was 50% off ;) I wore this last week when I ventured out to Covent Garden with the parentals for a spot of lunch. It’s perfect in the warmer weather as it has a bit of weight to it so you don’t flash anyone on the tube, yet if feels super light when worn. It also sits at a flattering length above the knee, another handy aid when you are trying to avoid flashing people during a morning commute. This skirt requires a slightly fitted top to be paired with it to but with but as it is such a bright colour it dresses up even the most plain top or shirt. It’s orange love over here!
The second purchase is the biggest bargain I’ve found in a long time. Oh yes, I bring you one of the infamous Whistle slogan jumpers. I know, not the most popular slogan they have released however it still doesn’t deny the fact that it is a beaut. Super soft, comfy material that makes you want to snuggle up and relax with a film and a mahoosive pack of popcorn. The navy colour complements the neon pink of the Fleur text and it makes a statement without being too OTT. Okay, okay enough of me waffling you want to know about the discount right? Brace yourself as I managed to snap this up for a whopping £20! Who knew anything in Whistles could ever be only £20? At this price you can’t resist and I am so glad I picked it up, even if it is boiling hot outside ;)
Which are your favourite beauty sales to shop in? Have you picked up any bargains yourself recently?
