The Edit: Bronzers

bronzer edit

I heart bronzers. Like, seriously heart them. My big chubby trampoline cheeks would be lost without them and the day I discovered the world of contouring, everything changed, there was no looking back and I’m pretty certain that before this moment I walked around with my face looking like a potato pancake. When it comes to the summertime I up the anti in bronzing department, not just for cheekbones I begin to sweep the golden glow across my temples and cheeks to impart a more sun kissed look over my face. This helps to counteract the pale from when I have been hiding out in the shade and gives me a soft summers glimmer. After trying a fair few bronzers over the years these are my fail safes for helping me achieve a natural colour that leaves people asking what gorgeous destination I have been jetting off to, I wish. Thank you bronzers!

Nars Laguna – The Cult Classic

There isn’t much to be said about this bronzer, a true cult classic when it comes to bronzers if you don’t have this in your makeup stash I’m pretty sure it’s up there on your makeup wish list ;) Currently half way though my second compact there is something to be said for this glow enhancing shade that gives life and colour to your cheeks without you leaving your looking muddy or orange. It also comes with a huge mirror packed inside which makes it the perfect buddy when you are on the go.

Chanel Tan de Soleil – The Luxury Purchase

This cream based offering is the marmite of the bronzing world, you either hate it or you love it. I’ve always sat on the fence with this as if you tend to be a little heavy handed in your approach when you apply makeup, the chances are this will leave you looking like you’ve doused yourself in fake tan the night before. Easy does it with this bronzing cream however I do find it gives a lovely colour that can be used to both bronze and contour.

Jouer Sheer Bronzing Tint – The Multipurpose Allrounder

You need this, all I have to say! A bronzing tint this is a fantastic product to own considering it’s multitude of uses and tricks that will help keep up the glow all year round. A cream product this can be mixed with your moisturiser, BB Cream, foundation or even worn alone to add a hint of colour to a pale foundation or, what I like to do, is pop this on to the contours of my face to add more shape and definition. A must have item that is quick and easy to use and gives a soft and subtle hint of colour that will leave you wanting more.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer – The All Dayer

If you need a bronzer that will last, this will be your BFF. Not only is this a waterproof formula, the shade is also matte meaning it works a dream at adding that faux glow to your skin or being used in the hollows of your cheek to help give the illusion of more prominent cheekbones. You get a lotta product in the pan and you only need a small amount as the pigmentation isn’t lacking here. Tarte are not just about blushers as I would be lost without the gorgeous bronzing shade.
