My Makeup #16 The Festival Face

With the day festivals come the festival face, something that will stand the test of time, look good from dusk to dawn and doesn’t leave you looking like you’ve applied your entire makeup collection in one go. This year I opted for a neutral bronzed look that kept my skin looking fresh and dewy yet helped to hide away my blemishes and pesky dark circles. As a based I opted for the Dior BB Cream as I adore the finish it gives. Natural, lightweight and gives a decent amount of coverage that doesn’t disappear on you throughout the day. It looks great after eight hours and doesn’t settle it’s way into any cheeky dry patches.

For the rest of my face I contoured with the Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer and focused the colour towards the top of my ‘faux’ hollows to give a bit of added shape and definition. Paired with the Tarte Blusher in Tipsy I knew my blusher and bronzer combo would not be found smudged down my face on the train ride home. To keep me looking awake I was all for the highlighting eye products. Nars Creamy Concealer, Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream Eyes* and the Idea Light Brush-On-Illuminator from Estee Lauder kept my bags in check. For my eyes I combined the Urban Decay Naked Palette and also the Marc Jacobs Lolita Palette. This gave a soft and smokey neutral eye that had a hint of darkness in the outer crease without being too overpowering.

And yes – I have included me posing like a wally with my mini backpack, I just love it that much okay ;)
