A Lipstick A Day…

For some inexplicable reason, I have recently dramatically increased the size of my lipstick stash.  A women possessed maybe but when on holiday I went lip product mad. Seven new lipsticks/glosses were purchased and an intensive lip balm for the eighth item made sure that my lips remained in good condition to show of all my new lippie finds. From the photos above they all looks rather similar but I promise there is a big enough difference to warrant me getting them all ;)

Top Row – MAC Lustre in Patisserie, MAC Cremesheen in Pure Zen and MAC Cremesheen in Peach Blossom – I’ve had these three MAC lip offerings on my wish list for far too long, seeing them pop up on fellow beauty bloggers only increased the need for them so when I could pick them up for $16 as opposed to £15.50, I couldn’t say no. Out of the three, Peach Blossom is by far my favourite. A very soft pinky nude this is the perfect everyday lip and I’ve already made quite a dent to the bullet! Patisserie is a slightly deeper lip colour and Pure Zen has a hint of coral that switches up the natural nude look.

Second Row – Tom Ford Lip Colour in Pink Dusk, Tarte Power Pigment in Tipsy, DiorAddict Fluid Lipstick in 269 Tiny Pink – I finally bit the bullet and bought a Tom Ford lipstick, I blame the discount you get from picking them up at duty free. From the packaging to the lipstick itself, everything oozes luxury and class. The shade Pink Dusk is darker everyday pink colour that gives a hit more colour without being too overpowering. The Tarte Power Pigment Pencil is a great everyday coral with more of a colour punch that doesn’t look too intense on the lips. Finally, my new gloss/lip hybrid best friend. I adore this colour and formulation and already want to pick up the rest of the line.

Third Row – Hourglass Extreme Sheen High Shine Lipgloss in Nectar – Last but by no means least it’s the Hourglass gloss. A last minute purchase that I happened to treat myself to, I fell for the shade Nectar and couldn’t stop myself from picking it up. Although the name has you thinking of a slick gloss nightmare, this is a gloss that packs the shine without the attaching itself to your hair. The colour is a slightly darker coral offering and either worn alone or paired with a lipstick, Pure Zen being a great match, it gives a bit of gloss to an everyday lipstick.

Have you tried any of these lipstick offerings? What are your favourites at the moment?
