Curly hair – I adore thee. If it didn’t seem so retro to get a perm I probably would go ahead in a bid to get some more permanent bounce and life injected into my hair. Damage aside, it’s true what they say, you always want what you don’t have. After getting a much overdue chop I am now sporting an even shorter do which not only helps to keep things looking healthy, it also imparts new lease of life and volume into my hair that my dry ends had lost. Not only that, a shorter style is easier to manage as it is more willing to retain it’s shape thanks to there being less weight to hold it down. Curls no long slip away as soon as the heat is removed and your hard work and efforts even stick around for a second day.
Wanting to take my hair for a test drive I picked up my conical wand and got a curling. Freshly washed hair in toe I worked with fairly small sections to keep everything looking light and bouncy. I switched up the direction in which I curled my hair and even kept a couple of sections straight, looking at me being radical ;) The final result was a bounty full of luscious curls. Nothing too perfected over here, the natural look was in town and I liked it. I brushed my curls out with a comb and my fingers to keep them looking loose and overall I was really happen with the finished result. If anyone would like to add an extra hour into the day so this could be a daily occurrence, I would be mucho thankful.
