March Favourites

Well hello April. The shock of the year slipping by hasn’t got any easier but putting that to one side for the moment, it’s time to talk about Spring makeup favourites. I say Spring as the past month has seen a flourish of new releases grace our counters which embrace all things pastel and dewy. I for one and ready to grab this change of seasons with both hands as my dry skin is crying out for a bit of sunshine. Although the sun might not be a shining beacon up above right now, the clocks have gone forward which means it is acceptable to spend every evening alongside the river bank sipping on Pimms whilst laughing with friends.

Alterna Haircare Cavier CC Cream – Although I am not 100% sold on the whole CC for hair development I have been enjoying using this offering each time my hair gets washed. Not only does it help cut down on time, it also gives me more hair care benefits wrapped up inside one quick to use product. Applying a serum, heat protector and volumizier can be a tad overkill and results in my fine hair getting weighed down under the weight. This gives me all the benefits with none of the negatives and keeps my hair looking sleek throughout the day.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Fearless* – No surprise, yet another Tarte item is appearing in a month favourites feature. Not only that it is one of two. I have already professed my love for Tarte blushers and this shade is no exception. A richer pink option this adds life and colour to your cheeks to give them a kiss of glow without looking too intense. Long lasting staying power all wrapped up in this flattering shade I can see this quickly becoming my Spring blush of choice.

Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick in Golden Pink* – The second Tarte item comes in form of their new NAME lipstick. Moisturising, pigmented and minty fresh all rolled into one cutely packaged bullet. There isn’t much more that you could ask for from a lip product. But if you did need more reasons to fall head over heels for them, check out their winning pinky line up with shades that will get you swooning.

Trish McEvoy Beauty Booster Tinted Moisturiser* – As much as I didn’t want to include this item in my favourites post (damn you price tag) there is no avoiding this gorgeous dewy base. A choice most mornings when I am looking to give my skin a glow from within, this enhances without looking oily or sheeny throughout the day. One of the few bases that has masters the natural finish whilst proving a kick over coverage that blends flawlessly into the skin.

Nouris Rosehip Oil* – Last and by no means least is my beloved Rosehip oil. Although the scent is still revolting I have been slapping this on every night religiously. It helps with my appearance and texture of my skin and gives it a much needed overnight moisture injection. This is one of the most pure Rosehip oils I’ve used and my skin drinks it up and beams the benefits the next day.
