This time last year statement necklaces were the buzz word when it came to jewellery. The bigger the better as the addition of a chunky necklace helped to turn an outfit from drab to fab. As fashion evolves and trends change the focus has shifted towards the more dainty and feminine pieces. Delicate chains and neat designs can be seen up and down the high street and although less impactful compared to a statement necklace, they still help to pull and outfit together and dress up a normally plain jumper or shirt.
As you can see I seem to have a triangular theme running throughout my necklaces. Something about the angular lines makes the piece look a touch more chic yet without looking too harsh when worn. The more glitzy offering comes from the Topshop necklace that I picked up last year. I like to pair this with a white cotton high neck jumper as I find the necklace really stands out when combined with this.
More recently I picked up the Whistles rose gold necklace and already it has become a firm favourite. The rose gold shade gives a different look compared to the gold and this looks great teamed with jumpers and shirts. The newest addition to the family is the H&M gold bar that I have been wearing none stop. A simple yet striking design I went through a week where I worn this every single day. A steal at less then £5 if you spy it in your local store, snap it up stat!
