Embarking on a new brand or skincare line can be a daunting moment. Parting with your hard earn cash can always seem a tad unnerving when you are not 100% sure whether this new item will cause your skin to be your best friend or your worse enemy. In such situations the power of samples can help turn the most nervous of shoppers into carefree and happy people. You can spot a good brand by it’s willingness to share samples and the fact that they understand how consumers trial out new products and spend their cash makes them good eggs in my books. In a reverse psychology way, the more sample happy a brand can be, the more likely I am to go back and buy more.

One brand that understands the beauty of samples is Aesop. Already a fan it didn’t take much to put a smile of my face, however being handed this little box of goodies meant I was left beaming from ear to ear. Familiar with their Parsley Seed range the Anti-Oxidant Eye Serum was new try for me. Formulated to hydrate and protect the delicate skin around your eyes this serum is lightweight and feels soft and moisturising on the skin. A delicate floral aroma tickles your nose buds and you only need the smallest amount. A pricey offering I have been savouring this sample until the last drop! A fan of a good cleanser this Purifying Facial Cream Cleanser caught my eye. A mild offering for normal to dry skin this clarifies the skin without stripping it or drying it out. Makeup melts away the lavender scent helps to instate a sense of calm at the end of the day.
