A Case of the Hit Pan

top beauty blogger

When you find yourself firmly plonked into the category of ‘beauty obsessive’ it becomes quite uncommon to hit pan on your makeup goodies. Powder products are especially notorious as they are known for their lasting power and it takes a lotta love and dedication to make it to the point when the bottom of the pan begins to peek through. I however have managed to reach this impressive level on two items and to mark the momentous occasion it is only fitting that I share with you what is good enough to be picked up enough times to cause this illusive dent to appear. The offerings come in the form of a blusher and an item that can only be described as photoshop in a pan. The only other blusher I have ever hit pan on (and used up multiple times) is MAC Melba. My go to blush back in the day, this has been replaced by the more peachy tones from the Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Peach Whisper. A gorgeous and wearable everyday shade, this gives life to the cheeks whilst looking natural and flattering.

The second item that is beginning to surpass the level of pan hitting and is quickly on it’s way to become empty is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light. My love for this is unfaltering and whether I opt for a light dusting across my face or more concentrated application in areas where more coverage is required, I can see me going through a number of these throughout the years. Previously it was the much loved MAC MSF Natural that I would use up on a bi-monthly occurrence. Now however I’ve been shown the light (quite literally) and have become slightly addicted to flawless creating powders that don’t sit on the top of your skin or look heavy. At the moment the only other powder I am nearing pan on for the second time is my Nars Laguna Bronzer which still holds the crown for best everyday bronzer. Are there any products in your stash that you find yourself hitting pan on and repurchasing?
