When I initially stepped into Superdrug a couple of weeks ago with just a hairspray on my shopping list, I didn’t expect to be walking out with an Essie polish in my hand, let alone two. There was something about these two beauts that shone out on the stand and ended up at the pay desk with me and my purse. Whilst making the selection it didn’t occur to me that the two shades worked well together. Instead it was more of a ‘ooo sparkles and look limited edition!’ situation then actual logic going behind my decisions ;) That being said, it looks like my subconscious didn’t drop the ball as as soon as I returned home, I opted for a freshly applied manicure with both of my new polishes.
Lots of Lux was the first polish that ended up in my shopping bag and seeing the shade in the bottle it’s easy to see why. Blue sparkles and incrusted glitter that just oozes luxury in a polish. Although the festive season was over I couldn’t resist picking this up and adding a bit of glitter to the mundane January blues. Upon application you only need a single coat of this polish to achieve a fully opaque and bedazzled finish. It’s one of the most unique glitters I own and I loves it. The second shade is a limited edition offering in the colour Parka Perfect. A dusky blue colour that has the most subtle iridescent shimmer. Two coats is all you need and I find this makes a wearable everyday manicure or can be paired with something a bit more glitzy for a special occasion. My nails have never been so happy!
