Overseas Beauty Hauling

You can take the girl out of London but you can’t stop her from shopping! Unfortunately for a beauty obsessed person like myself, Dubai isn’t the greatest place to indulge in a beauty haul. Everything is imported, the prices are more expensive then London and you can’t pick up anything you wouldn’t be able to find back home. That being said, after a disappointing shop in the duty free section my spider senses were tingling and I just couldn’t help myself.

The first thing I picked up was the Clinique Take The Day Off Balm. This is a lightweight balm that you massage into your skin to remove all makeup, impurities and bacteria from the day. Highly raved by the likes of Caroline Hirons, I was looking for a new balm to start using to replace my Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel. In the cooler seasons I prefer using a balm as it helps to prevent my skin from getting dry, I also didn’t pack a cleanser so this was a necessity ;) As Clinique were offering a gift with purchase when you bought two items I managed to sneak the Chubby Stick Intense into my shopping back and opted for the shade 04 Heftiest Hibiscus. No I do not need another lip product but I just couldn’t pass up this gorgeous coral/red shade that packs a punch yet lasts on your lips. Perfect holiday lip option ;)

The next item you spy is yes, a Boots item. Inside the Dubai Mall there is a standalone Boots store which is packed full of beauty items from the UK and more importantly, items from the Boots Botanics range. When on holiday I slather on as much of this Skin Calming Serum as possible as it helps my skin if it is burnt, dry, irritated or just a little unhappy. I’ve already used up one pot and couldn’t get my hands on a replacement in the UK, good job I came to Dubai then :P
