Diorskin Nude BB Cream in Light 001 – £27

Are ya ready – because it’s time for the third edition of my foundation series. Today the limelight has been firmly placed upon the Diorskin Nude BB Cream, I bought this back in May from duty free after reading a number of rave reviews that sang it’s praises. Not just that, it was also featured in one of Lisa Eldridge’s YouTube videos and let’s just say after seeing it in action I knew it had to be mine. Like all my issues with foundations this Summer I picked this up sans tan in the lightest shade – 001. It is available in three more shades ranging up to medium and I find it blends out a dream to leave a lovely soft coverage that allows your skin to breathe. It matches my skin tone perfectly but throughout the warmer months it has been pushed aside in favour of something more bronzy.

As all BB Creams are, this is a hybrid of skincare and makeup in one. It contains natural ingredients that supposedly conceals the undesirable but also is able to adjust itself to fit all skin tones. As you can see in the above pictures, just a single application of this BB Cream hides my red cheeks and evens out my skin tone whilst looking natural on the skin. It has the coverage but without making me look like a mask has been applied. The texture of this BB Cream is light and feels more like a moisturiser then a foundation (even though the coverage I find to be more akin to a lighter foundation).

Out of all the bases I spoke about in my introduction post this has to be my favourite, so much so I’ve debated picking it up in a darker shade. I wouldn’t say I’ve seen any skincare benefits since using it, but I do find it matches everything I want out of a base at the moment. Although the price is slightly more elevated compared to others, I still wouldn’t think twice about purchasing it. Dior are winning it for me!
