Should I just go ahead and rename this feature ‘I love animals and want to share photos of them every week’ or shall I bite the bullet and move on into the World of animal blogging? Is there such a thing?! I do however have a valid reason for making this post all about my house bunny Lola well I like to think I do :P I had been apart from this little bundle of fluff for just over three weeks now and boy did I miss her. It’s amazing how a little pet can make such an impact on your life.

Lola is a dwarf honey lop that I got from a breeders in Dorset four years ago. I was at Uni at the time and snuck her into each flat I lived in. Some people wonder what it’s like living with a rabbit constantly in your room and personally, I wouldn’t have it any other way. She has a cage she sleeps in at night but whenever I am in my room she is running about or jumping up onto my bed for cuddles. As Lola was from a breeders and always handled from a young age she is a very affectionate rabbit. She will run up to you, headbutt your hand or knee and lie down for hours at a time whilst you rub her head. As she is the first rabbit I have ever had I am very lucky that she is this great around people.

Lola has a very sweet personality but like any girl, can have her moments! She loves to run around the hallway and is very good (most of the time) when it comes to being litter trained. Rabbits are great pets if you work full time and she isn’t overly active throughout the day, but they do require your full attention when out and about otherwise they can get up to mischief. Since getting Lola I can’t imagine my life without her and she can always be counted on to make me smile.
