My Makeup #12

Oh hi face, fancy seeing you here again aye. It’s been a while since I did my last edition of ‘My Makeup’ and in the time that has passed the tan has faded but an utterly gorgeous palette has been added to the mix. Although I am still a fan of going sans base the slightly cooler days and lack of warmth in my skin has got me reaching for a thicker coverage (still talking BB Creams though!) and a plethora of bronzers. I’ve been enjoying ramping up the makeup slightly whilst ensuring everything is kept looking natural whilst my skin is able to breathe.

To start of the process I applied the Diorskin Nude BB Cream. If you saw my introductory post to my foundation series which you can read here an in-depth review will be up soon, however here is a sneak peak in the meantime. Unfortunately the shade is more similar to my Winter tone hence the use of Nars Laguna Bronzer to add colour all over and the Kevin Aucoin Sculpting Powder to contour. I’ve also opted for two blushers, MAC’s Cream Colour Base in Virgin Isle and the Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Peach Whisper. I find the two layered together give a lovely wash of colour whilst lasting throughout the day on my cheeks.

For eyes it was all about one thing and one thing only, the Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Eye Palette. I love how with the range of shades available you can create a wearable day look or vamp it up for a more smokey eye. The shadows themselves are super pigmented and a dream to apply, I just can’t rave about it enough! As I wanted to keep things simple throughout the rest of my face I opted for a clear lip balm in the form of the Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid*. Not only is this super nourishing, it also smells and tastes divine. Finished off with lashings of mascara and a hint of the Eyeko Brow Gel* the look is complete.
