My Makeup #11

Oh baby hasn’t this heatwave been divine? I have to admit I used to hate the Summer – oh yes I would actively dread the countdown to that period of the year when you would get hot and sweaty just stepping outside your front door. Summer and I were not the best of friends but over the past couple of years I have become quite the sun bunny (safely of course with oodles of SPF!) This means I am more welcoming to the beacon of light in the sky but unfortunately my makeup doesn’t feel the same way. Luckily due to having a hint of a tan and some extremely good skincare days, I’ve been able to rock this makeup look which shock horror only involves these handful of products.

Thanks to none of my bases being the right shade for me anymore (and as I am too stubborn to buy a darker one) I am still rocking the sans base look. Just a dusting of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light followed by the Nars Creamy Concealer applied in a few strategic places and that’s ‘base’ done. Even in the heat I can’t forgo my trusty contour and to keep the look bronzy I use the Nars Bronzing Powder in Laguna. Topped up with a dusting of the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Tipsy this gives my cheeks a lovely peachy hue.

Eyes seem to be the most product heavy section as my Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara is a must have to keep panda eyes at bay. Paired with my HG L’Oreal Mega Volume Collagene Mascara my lashes maintain all the attention. Finally a light coating of the Eyeko Brow Gel* gives my brows a bit of tint and definition to stop them completing a disappearing act on my face. To finish off the look my go to lip product at the moment get’s applied, Boujois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Peach on the Beach you are b-e-a-utiful!

Not quite a five product face but in this glorious hot weather this is the perfect tamed down makeup edit.
