Finally a Summer ‘My Makeup’ edition! Well as Summery as I can get whilst the clouds are still looming overhead *sad face* Recently I have been going sans base but today I’ve incorporated a new item into the mix, the Vichy Idealia BB Cream with SPF 25*. I’m not 100% sold on it just yet but it has been a nice adjustment back into the foundation pool, yes the fact that my tan has  disappeared results in me reaching back towards the bases. This new Vichy offering gives a soft and natural finish to the skin whilst looking dewy but I find it hard to blend. A nice BB Cream that has hit the market but minus the wow factor for me.

For the rest of my makeup I injected a hint of luminosity into my skin by applying a small pump of the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone. This gives the most glorious glow to your face and blurs out any imperfections or fine lines. To finish the rest of my base I used my trusty Nars Creamy Concealer in Custard, my under-eye wonder in the form of the ByTerry Touch Expert in 2 Nude and my beloved Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. For a dusting of colour through the cheeks I opted for the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Blissful and then to finish off the Summer glow I dusted MAC’s Soft and Gentle over my cheekbones.

When it comes to the eyes I’ve been experimenting, an unloved eyeshadow palette and new mascara all have been put into action. First up is my Naked 2 Palette from Urban Decay, the original wins it for me but recently this combo has been gracing my lids as it gives a hint of definition whilst opening up my eyes. I pop Bootycall across the lid and in the inner corner, follow this with Tease blended out in my socket and then add a bit of Busted in the outer corner for some depth. To finish it all off I place Foxy underneath my brow bone. For mascara I’ve been trying the Eyeko Black Magic* offering which claims to give drama and curl. I wouldn’t say it’s the most dramatic mascara I’ve ever used but I love the brush as it’s perfect at getting to every last lash.

Finally is the new addition to my lipstick/gloss obsession – the Boujois Lip Crayon in Peach on the Beach. A more peachy pink shade compared to it’s Orange Punch sister but just as gorgeous. Easy to apply, oodles of colour and a lovely slick of gloss, perfection!
