My Makeup: #9

Shock horror call the police for I am not wearing any foundation, tinted moisturiser, BB cream or even CC cream in this edition of My Makeup. All I need is a bit of a tan and I get cocky and think my skin is perfect – hardly. What it does mean however is that all my bases are too light for me, so instead I have improvised with concealer and the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder to gently mask away any imperfections. It also means that now Summer *touch wood* has rolled into town I don’t need to worry about whether my foundation has slipped away throughout the day. A fuss free and simple Summer look that you are able to achieve in next to know time, I didn’t know I had it in me!

To help add a bit of luminosity to my skin I first applied the MAC Strobe Cream to the high points of my face. I then went in with my trusty Nip & Fab Eye Fix*  to cover any dark circles and the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer on any blemishes. This was all buffed in with a damp Beauty Blender which, FYI, I am loving, and I then dusted the Hourglass Powder all over my skin and called my base done.

For contour I used the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder and also took this along my temples and jaw bone to slightly define my face. For blush it is the Tarte Amazionan Clay Blush in Blissful (adore!) and then I put a slight dusting of my MAC Stereo Rose along my cheekbones to add a bit of highlight and glow. For eyes I primed them them with MAC Paint in Bare Canvas and used the NARS And God Created the Woman Palette to give a light and subtle dusting of colour to my lids. To finish off my eyes it was the Kevyn Aucoin Precision Brow Pencil in Ash Blonde to give some shape to my brows and help frame my face.

Finally for lips it was a concoction of the Covergirl Lipslick in 255 Sweet Tweet and NYX Butter Gloss in BLG08 Apple Strudel, both of these lip products I love and they have quickly become staples in my makeup routine and my handbag. To ensure that nothing budges throughout the day I gave a quick spritz of the Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray and I was good to go!
