REN Tonic Moisture Mist – £18*

If you are a skincare fanatic, dedicated to achieving the best routine possible, or just a fellow fan of the wonderful Caroline Hirons, you will be joining me in the overhaul of those key products that you apply to your face. Gone are the days of manual exfoliators, foaming cleansers have been well and truly binned and oils have become a daily feature. In the past six months I have overhauled my skincare routine and learnt an absolute tonne. The way I now approach my skin and how I look after it has completely evolved and I have become more focused on achieving better skin then finding a full coverage foundation to mask imperfections. Understandably there has been a period of trial and error but along the way I have found some utter gems. One of these is the introduction of a hydrating toner thanks to REN.

Throughout my skincare overhaul the biggest change was in the section dedicated to toners. I have mentioned before that I’ve always used a toner thanks to the mantra; cleanse, tone, moisturise, but I never noticed the World of difference from this mysterious middle step. Once purposed at removing the last traces of your makeup and cleanser, this area of your skincare routine has changed overtime. Now toners are all about that second stage where you exfoliate the skin to prep it for the moisture to come.

I have a couple of exfoliating toners in rotation and these are always followed by a spritz of the REN Tonic Moisture Mist. A hydrating toner that contains Hyaluronic Acid to bind water and moistuer into the skin I use this in the PM post exfoliating toner and AM when I am not using the Caudalie Beauty Elixir. Adding this step into my skincare routine has helped to plump up my skin and make it less dehydrated – it was also a live saver on the long haul flight!

Have you tried out this REN toner? What do you think of the World of exfoliating/hydrating toners?
