Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Orange Punch – £7.99

Ladies and gentlemen (if there are any of you out there) I have fallen hard for a lip product, and not just any lip product oh no, a budget buy lip product at that. I didn’t quite expect to fall so fast and so much for this item which is why the above photo shows it in less then pristine packaging (but at least you can see how much I have used up already). I never thought it was possible to get pigmentation, gloss and moisture all from a single lip product but this crayon ticks all the boxes and more.

Bourjois are a brand that I find myself bypassing when perusing the aisles of Boots and Superdrug. I’m not sure whether it’s down to their product selection or the packaging, but Bourjois  usually get pushed to the side. This all changed recently when I was on the hunt for a Clinique Chubby Stick dupe. A number of drugstore brands have released lip crayons mimicking the Clinique counterparts but hiding amongst the shelves of Bourjois I came across this beauty. What first drew me in was the colour and this was quickly followed by the fact that you can twist the bottom of the pencil to get more product, no sharpeners needed over here! Quick to use, fuss free and perfect if you are out and about, so good so far.

In terms of the crayon itself it glides onto your lips, it’s a fair assumption that this soft application would leave little colour but this is where you are wrong. An intense slick of colour is left on your lips with a soft glossy sheen. What’s brilliant is that as the sheen fades away the colour remains. All this without being sticky and whilst containing an SPF 15, get me to a Superdrug stat so I can stock up on more! Orange Punch is a deep coral with a hint of red and the colour really lasts throughout the day. With a red, fuchsia and peach in the range I can see myself becoming a Bourjois addict rather soon.

Have you tried these lip crayons before? What are your thought’s on their lip crayon offering?
